Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Blabbo. We kept them as plain as we could. Please read them before you subscribe.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Blabbo is run by Arda Lacinok, an independent developer ("we", "us"). By using the Blabbo app or this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Blabbo.

2. Who can use Blabbo

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

3. Your account

  • When you start, Blabbo creates an account on your device. Save your progress with an email or a sign in provider to keep it if you change or lose your phone.
  • Keep access to your email; sign in uses one-time codes sent there.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at hello@blabbo.io if you think someone else is using it.

4. Subscriptions and free trials

  • Blabbo Pro is required. Your first conversation during setup is free. After that, Blabbo needs an active trial or subscription.
  • Plans and prices are shown in the app, in your currency, before you pay. Plans renew weekly, monthly or yearly.
  • Free trial: when a plan includes a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. We remind you before the trial ends.
  • Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Payment and cancelling are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Blabbo account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This doesn't limit any refund or withdrawal rights the law gives you where you live.
  • Price changes are announced in advance as the App Store and Google Play require, and you can cancel before they apply.

5. Fair use

Blabbo is for practicing a language. Please don't:

  • use it to break the law, harass anyone or create harmful, hateful or sexual content involving minors;
  • try to get the AI to produce harmful content, or to get around its safety rules;
  • copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer the app, its content or its AI features, or use them to build a competing product;
  • overload, disrupt or try to access parts of Blabbo or other people's accounts you are not allowed to.

If a conversation goes somewhere unsafe, Blabbo gently steers it back. We may limit or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these rules.

6. AI coaching

  • Characters, replies, corrections, tips and reports are made by AI. They can be wrong, sound unnatural or miss context. Use your judgment.
  • The characters are fictional. Blabbo is a practice tool, not professional, medical, legal or immigration advice.

7. Exam Mode

Exam Mode practices "IELTS-style" and similar speaking tests. Blabbo is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to IELTS, its owners or any other exam board, and all exam names belong to their owners. Band and level estimates are practice feedback, not official results, and we don't guarantee any exam score.

8. Your content

What you write and say in Blabbo stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Blabbo for you: to reply, correct, score, report and keep your history. We don't use it to train AI models. Our Privacy Policy explains how long we keep it and how to delete it.

9. Our content

The app, the Blabbo mascot, the characters, scenarios, art, text and design belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use them inside Blabbo for your own learning while you follow these terms.

10. Changes to Blabbo and these terms

We keep improving Blabbo, so features can change. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before the change applies. If you keep using Blabbo after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop using Blabbo and delete your account.

11. Ending

You can stop using Blabbo and delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.

12. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Blabbo running and helpful, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be available, error free or right for your goals. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for Blabbo in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Before going to court, please write to us; most problems can be fixed by email.

14. App Store

If you got Blabbo from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Blabbo or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is not responsible for claims about it, except as the App Store's rules say. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
